Wet & Wild Summertime Family Picnic
The last event of the Pack 420 summer activities is the Wet N Wild
Summertime Family picnic. It will be held on Sunday, August
17th from 2-6 at St. Johns.
Please wear swimsuits, bring squirtguns and prepare to get wet and have
fun. Jeff Wellman has arranged to rent a waterside and there will be water
games.
The pack will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, condiments, chips, drinks and
watermelon. Donations of salads and other picnic food are always appreciated. I
suggest you bring lawn chairs or blankets, and sun screen
For this picnic we are in need of:
1) small pool to fill water guns,
2) a few hundred feet of standard outdoor garden hose,
3) a grill for cooking - preferably propane and with a cook attached and,
4) about 100 water balloons,. if you can't fill at home volunteers to
arrive early and fill are also OK
If you can provide any of these please let me know via
e-mail.
Please let your Den leader know how many in your family will be
attending by Sunday, August 10th. This should be a great way to finish the
summer.
REMINDER - A scout who participates in any three
summer events earns a summertime pin. Qualifying events include:
Memorial Day parade, Frederick Keys game, Scout Day camp, Camp Oest and the
Wet & Wild picnic
Frederick Keys Game Make-up Information
There will be another Scout night at the Frederick Keys on July 26th as the
previous game was rained out toward the end - however you would have to make
arrangements on your own unless someone volunteers to organize this event -
essentially take ticket orders (flyer attached). Tickets to the previous game in
June will also be honored. You can attend the game and sleep overnight if you
like optional. If anyone is interested in organizing please let me know.
